John Mauk’s stories have appeared in journals such as Salamander, Arts and Letters, and New Millennium Writings; his nonfiction in Rumpus, Beatrice.com, and Writer’s Digest. Black Lawrence Press published his first full-length story collection, Field Notes for the Earthbound (2014). He is currently working on a second collection as well as a novel that explores the tension between myth and modernity. He teaches at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
